Get to know the General Managers at Timbers’ properties throughout the globe! In today’s blog post, we spoke with Ellie McAtee from One Steamboat Place. Ellie has been with Timbers at OSP since 2007 – before we opened our doors at One Steamboat Place! Read more below:
What do you like most about working at Timbers?
It has been fascinating to watch the changes and growth, the opportunities that have been extended to team members from OSP over the years, and to then hear back from Owners on who they saw where, its like a “dot to dot” of connectivity which is pretty special and unique.
What do you enjoy most about living in Steamboat?
Spring for watching nature awaken and the trees start to green, then the glacier lilies sprout and the warmth settles in (its pretty divine after cold winters.)
What motivates you to go to work each day?
Getting to work alongside the “best in the business.” I have had the good fortune to work with some amazing souls here at One Steamboat Place.
Tell us about something fun that happens at OSP!
We have two “stars” on property – our turtles Peanut Butter and Shelly. They received a new 350 gallon aquarium tank this fall, and it’s become the first stop for Owners and guests when they arrive on property. The morning feedings are a huge hit with the kids and it’s a great opportunity for families to create memories.
What is a fun fact that people are surprised to learn about you?
That I am English – not South African, Australian, New Zealander, or Scandinavian! Also, I’m a constant student. I typically take multiple courses in something new that I find interesting. I am currently in a yearlong program of Ayurveda!
