Since we first set out to develop Timbers Kaua‘i, our vision has always been to create a place that harmonizes with the natural beauty and rich heritage of the island. As part of the larger Hōkūala resort, Timbers Kaua‘i represents a transformation of what was once an abandoned golf course into a vibrant, welcoming destination. It’s a space where guests and Owners can experience the true spirit of Kaua‘i, and we are proud of the community that has grown here over the years.
Today, we are honored to share exciting news: Timbers Kaua‘i has received an inaugural 2024 One MICHELIN Key. Similar to the coveted MICHELIN Star in the culinary world, the MICHELIN Key celebrates “the most outstanding hotels and resorts in the country.” Timbers Kaua‘i was recognized for excelling in five key areas: architectural and interior design, quality and consistency of service, distinct personality and character, value for the price, and an authentic contribution to the neighborhood or setting.
While Timbers Kaua‘i has been a regular feature of the MICHELIN Guide in previous years, this marks a special moment for us. The honor of a MICHELIN Key award reflects not only the hard work and dedication of our team but also the unique qualities of the resort itself, from its thoughtful design to the strong sense of community that defines this place.
